Ergin Ceyhan: Tudo Bem SC Legend
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I must inform you that Ergin Ceyhan has left Tudo Bem SC. The greatest person to ever play for Tudo Bem SC has returned to Turkey. It is 100% true that powerhouse Fenerbahce wanted to sign Ergin for 421.62 million Turksih Lira ($300 Million USD), but he had to return for mandatory military service. Although we never got to wish Ergin good bye, he will always be with us. Ergin epitomized a Tudo Bem player: he was talented; he was a leader; he was a team player; and he played with heart. Ergin was responsible for many of the things we are fortunate to have. Ergin was the man behind Quad United and team Turkish. His team helped make the struggling Champaign/Urbana Men's league better. Ergin and Team Turkish graced the outdoor fields of the University and CRCE. Ergin and team Turkish dominated every competition. When we go to CRCE and see a 15 team waiting list to play, remember Ergin. Usually, we're waiting that hour to play Turkey. He sparked an interest in soccer on this campus. He won the Indoor World Cup 2 times with Turkey. Many of the soccer competitions and events that we particpate in are popular know because of Ergin and Turkey. Everywhere we go, people are playing soccer. Ergin started this with his the Turkish friends. Everyone wanted to play or not play Turkey. If you were indifferent, then you were new to soccer here and you quickly became wise. Many arguments occured during Turkish games; however, as a spectator and someone fortunate to play with them, I know people weren't too kind to Turkey. Furthermore, Ergin was a fair player that never caused fights and always settled flaring tempers. Ergin always played with passion and intelligence. Despite injuries he always wanted to play and he organized pick up games. When you see his friends, Tolga, Mehmet, Okan, Hakan, Ali, Jalell, Neuman, Alp, and anyone else that has worn the Turkish Red remember that it started with the help of Ergin. This blog that we are fortunate to have and laugh at and see pictures was started by Ergin. He invited me to contribute. Ergin also had a Quad United blog. I'm sure that in Turkey, Ergin will organize and start soccer games in the military. Hopefully, we'll get a link to that site and we can see pictures of his new teammates and the soccer games. Ergin loved soccer and he shared his passion with others. Ergin made a huge impact in my life, he was a close friend of mine. I'll always remember how he invited me to play soccer and made sure others had equal priviledges in soccer at the university. I wish I can still play soccer with him, but I may never again. However, I'll never forget the memories, emotions, and words I had with him. I hope you all recognizethe impact that he has had on us and future soccer players at the university. I am proud to recognize Ergin as the first player in be inducted into the Tudo Bem SC Legends. Thank You Ergin.
Events of the January Transfer Window
IN
Investor RoMin Lwinbramovich immediately involved Tudo Bem SC in the transfer period. Christopher Cook, better known as Chefchenko, was immediately brought back to Tudo Bem. The Norwegian player enjoyed his loan period in Sweden and did not want to return. With a new hair style and in a little different shape, Chefchenko is excited to play and return to top form. However, Chefchenko has admitted it is difficult to readapt to American life. "We're in the middle of nowhere. The lifestyle over there (Sweden) is so much better. Mountains and beaches; they know how to live life." Sir Fergouwski has squashed the comments of Chefchenko, "He's having a tough time readjusting. I know he enjoyed his loan, but the player must come back and work hard for the team. It's not only about mountains and beaches, the education and football is better here. He must concentrate and he needs time." Sir Fergouwski believes Chefchenko may not be ready and at his best, however, it is believed because of their close friendship, RoMin Lwinbramovich has personally insisted Chefchenko play.
Tim Bosslet has also managed to work his way back into the squad. Personally contacted by Lwinbramovich, Bosslet has rediscovered his love for the team and game. Lwinbramovich knows Bosslet is a player that will help Tudo Bem acheive great things.
OUT
As players return to Tudo Bem, some are on their way out. As David Beckham is on his way in to America at the end of the soccer season, another British superstar is on his way out. The British sensation, Matthew Richardson has not agreed terms with Tudo Bem SC. Richardson will return to his former club Nottingham Forrest. Richardson has become a pop sensation in his stay in America. Beckham, who is a close friend of Mattie's, was full of praise of his fellow countrymen:
"Mattie is a close friend of mine. He came to America
to play soccer and played for a big team like Tudo Bem.
He really helped blokes like myself, because he paved
the way for us. I really hope to establish myself like him

The reasons for Richardson's depature are unknown, yet many rumors are circulating. Although Richardson had girls at his disposal with his British accent, he insists on returning to England. It is known Richardson is a huge Aston Villa fan, so it is believed Richardson may want to return during the summer in order to make the summer transfer window so he can play alongside new signings Carew and Young at Villa Park. Although Richardson's contract will expire soon, he is still playing for the club. Unlike Fabio Capello and Roman Calderon, RoMin Lwinbramovich and the Tudo Bem board want to play Richardson. Recently after a Madrid game, Fabio Capello was privately asked why Beckham was not playing for this team although people like Richardson, who are in a similar situation, were playing. Fabio Capello was overhead and is believe to have replied:
"Richardson is a different player than Beckham,
a much better player. If I had Richardson, I'd play
him till the minute he had to board the plane. But
Beckham, he has played before, and we lost with him,
he wasn't all that good. Mama mia, Richarson,
I wish I could have him instead of Beckham!"
Fortunately, Richardson will continue to play with Tudo Bem until his contract expires and he returns to Nottingham.

New Look for Tudo Bem SC in '07: RoMin Lwinbramovich, Chefchenko, the Urbanabeu, & the New Emblem
Although it looked as though the hype and obsession over Tudo Bem SC had dwindled, the combination of recent success in Indoor Intramurals and the increase of shares by one of its stock holder has brought Tudo Bem SC back into the spot light. Immediately after the end of the Fall Intramural Season, the club was in talks with RoMin Lwinbramovich. RoMin Lwinbramovich a successful engineer that accoumulated enormous wealth in the blue-chip industry invested into the club. He had always had close ties with the club since its establishment. The first big transaction by RoMin Lwinbramovich was bringing back Christopher "Chefchenko" Cook from Sweden. The Norwegian born player was an integral member in the original Tudo Bem team. RoMin Lwinbramovich and Chefchenko have a unique, long friendship. RoMin insisted that Chefchenko be worked back into the squad immediately upon his arrival. In addition, RoMin Lwinbramovich has talked Tim Bosslet back onto the team. Bosslet controversial dissappeared and missed the end of the 2006 season. Although an aging defender, Bosslet had established himself as the leader in the Tudo Bem backline. Bosslet a seasoned veteran is currently in his last year of his undergraduate contract. Do to rules and regulations, Bosslet's contract can not renewed unless he agress upon graduate terms with the University. Although Sir Fergouwski has not declared if he will return next year, he has been spotted at the Urbanabeu with Tudo Bem players and Quad united players. Michael "Roy" Keaneski will also be playing at Old IMPE. Old IMPE, also known as the Theatre of Irwin, is one of the finest facilites for football. Keaneski and a select Tudo Bem players have been invited to the complex. Tudo Bem SC is currently in first place in Indoor Men's Intrmurals. The next game is Tuesday February 13th @ 10:25pm. All Indoor games are played at the "Urbanabeu" located in CRCE.

2006: The Season
It seemed like this would be the year Tudo Bem SC would be able to claim the coveted Intramural Champions' T-Shirt. After a thrilling, but heart breaking season last year, Tudo Bem set out to make this season different. Despite losing a handful of players, Sir Fergouwski brought in a whopping 9 new signings. The players came from all parts of the world including soccer crazed countries like Germany and England. After a 3-0 start, Tudo Bem stumbled in their last game of the season against Illivi Victory. The blame, however, does not fall on the players, but rather the Tudo Bem SC Board. Tudo Bem SC failed to turn in the captain's test prior to the start of the season. Sir Fergouwski was very disappointed for the team. "It was a mistake by the Board. They were under the impression they had turned in the paperwork for the playoffs. The test had been completed, but someone had forgotten to turn it in. It's a shame since we would have moved on to the playoffs. The other team's recognized the error and were okay with it, so why would the Intramural Board have a problem with this? Certainly there was a way for our team to get in, however, the Intramural Board was against us. It's clearly a personal issue." Sir Fergouwski's coaching ability has come under scrutiny from the Tudo Bem fans and according to rumors, a few players. Indeed, Sir Fergouwski is getting much older and not many managers have been in charge of a major club like Tudo Bem for so many years. But Sir Fergouwski is still believed to have the heart and fire to keep his team winning. "The year was great apart from the playoff incident. It's true we believed we could have won, but that was never guarenteed. I think this year was great for the team, yet it's unfortunate that we're going to lose a player like Bosslet and Richardson, being it their last year" commented Fergouwski. It seemed like Tudo Bem did have a great year. The team learned to play together and even adopted a style. Despite a 3-1 record, the team never seemed to be at the top of their game. Although the future of Tudo Bem is in doubt, if the team remained for another year they look dangerous and capable of winning the Intramural T-Shirts. Even though the future is uncertain, Tudo Bem SC has announced plans for the rest of the season. Sir Fergouwski plans to create a practice schedule for the club. In addition, the team plans to join and train with International Football Club at Irwin Football Facility in January. There are plans of changing the training to intensive 5v5 training and technical drills. Nevertheless, the plans will be determined soon. The Tudo Bem Soccer Club website would like to acknowledge the players of the team.
Billy Barmes- A fantastic new player with energy, heart, and experience. Billy put the team first and never complained about playing a new position or waiting to come in on the side. He was able to fight in the midfield and gain control. Billy coaches for other teams but he should always keeps playing for himself.
Philip Powell- A skilled player that immediately claimed the outside midfield position. He is intelligent on the field; his quick passing play or decisions to take on defenders caused problems for the opposing teams and always started Tudo Bem's attack.
Min Lwin- Although he was solid last year, Min broke out as a key player. He's the fastest guy on the field and he made use of it. Usually playing attacking center midfield, Min won the ball on our end and pushed it forward. He's one of the hardest working guys on the field.
Jeff Luong- It shows that he learned his soccer from the same place as Min. Jeff was a team player as a forward. His passing and hard work always helped the team offensively. Jeff set the pace for the season with his breakout performance of 2 goals.
Alexander Reventlow- Alex was great for the club. The giant German played midfield and defense; he played in the center of the field and also could play the outsides. His crunching tackles gave a message to the opposing teams. Although he played great as a center midfielder, his outside midfield work, running up and down the field, was valuable.
Matthew Richardson- Tudo Bem is grateful, priviledged, and lucky to have landed the former semi-pro, captain of Nottingham Forest University. Mattie pulled the strings in the midfield. He was unbelievably skilled, megging opponents, winning headers, and playing ridiculous long balls into space. His words at halftime kept up the spirits of the team. Simply the great one, he will be missed.
Chime Asyone- When Chime is on, there is no stopping him. The best word for Chime: power. He can carry three guys on his back. He'll defend a defender, he's just frusturating for the other team. This is what backs him so indispensable. Although Chime didn't get the goals, very rare, Chime's emotions and heart were always left on the field. Soccer needs passionate players.
Pitor Bzdyra- There are more midfielders on this team than for any other position. Despite being a talented midfielder, Piotr was a superb defender. He knows the fast pace of the offense, and he was quick to pick up on being a defender. He can connect from the back and he has confidence on the ball. He has great potential there.
Matt Swecker- Matt's goal changed this team from a team that was endanger of not making the playoffs to being top of the table. He ha an excitement and love for soccer. His good spirit and personality helped the team. Matt helped by playing in the back and mid. With little playing time, Matt did not have enough time to show his great skill.
Ergin Ceyhan- The man responsible for the website and keeping this team together. He understands the game and his experience was extremely helpful. During difficult times in the defense, Ergin could change the tides of the game. He made this website and brought experience to te team.
Erik Ramsland- Erik left another team, which he was the captain, to help Tudo Bem. He is an underrated player. He led the team through his tough defending. He was needed at defense, but he's unbelievable all over the field.
Steve Immen- Steve never complained about a position and always came off the field to allow other players to get time. Steve is fast and strong. He's like Chime as a defender or midfielder. He's extremely selfless and polite, he needs to credit his talent. Steve was great for the team.
David Rockwood- Dave is another guy that makes this team work. He'll play anywhere at anytime for any small amount of time. He's smart on offense and he helps move the ball in the midfield. He gets other involved by sharing the ball. Dave did the job of the midfielder and connected the defense to the offense.
Joshua Paschedag- It's funny how the goalie was the major focus last year when we didn't have one, and not that there is a goalie, no one talks about him. Last year Tudo Bem lived on the edge not having a goalie. Tudo Bem has the best man between the posts. Josh in an amazing goalie, he's agile and talented. Although there wasn't much said about him during the year, Josh gave the team confidence knowing that he was watching our backs and could save us in goal.
Timothy Bosslet- Tim missed a lot, but it was great having him again for when he was there. Tim is a gifted soccer player. He's an athlete and he'll always be one of the best Tudo bem players.
Billy Barmes- A fantastic new player with energy, heart, and experience. Billy put the team first and never complained about playing a new position or waiting to come in on the side. He was able to fight in the midfield and gain control. Billy coaches for other teams but he should always keeps playing for himself.

No Playoffs
Sorry no playoffs. i apologize to everyone on the team first. I let you guys down, I asked all of you to play on my team, and all of you guys had other teams you could have played on. I messed up but like I said I had thought all this time I had turned in the captain's test. I did it last year, I did it this year I just didn't turn it in on time. I thought I had turned it in at registration. It's really easy, it asks questions like when does a kick off take place, can you use your hands in soccer, what is the intramural website. There was a loophole in the handbook saying that teams who failed the test would be notified if they were ineligible for playoffs. The sentence before says any team who does not take the test can not retake it, no exceptions. I was told by the assitant director and the captain's test grader that I failed the test since I didn't turn it in. Since I failed and was never notified about not being eligible I thought we had a chance to get in, because they failed to follow the handbook. Another assitant director called me and told me I was reading into it and that incomplete is not the same as failing. I told him at the university if you don't take a test you fail it, it's a zero. We argued and I told him that I wanted to speak to the director. Eventually he hung up on me. I've been arguing for a week straight sending emails, phone calls, and meeting with directors. On Friday it seemed like things were in my favor, another assitant director felt that we should be let in and he'd talk to the other directors. He told me he wouldn't be able to change it, but everyone would discuss it. He was the former intramural director, I thought he could carry some weight. Anyways, I messed up and I was hoping they'd see it as an accident too. I apologized and I was hoping they could cut me a break. I'm upset because they had the ability and chose not to. If I was certain I turned the test in why would I checked earlier. I remeber doing the test, it was all complete when I found it later. Throughout the process, it's always been an argument to prove me wrong, it's never been about let's see what we can do to help. I had to see Gary Miller and beg if he could just talk to everyone. Charles Anderson said no from the first minute and never offered to talk it out with the other directors. I've been lied too and I've never spoken to Jesse like I requested many times. I've been told mixed messages and I feel that we've accepted their mistakes in refereeing and cutting our last game short. We paid money for 25 minute periods but they cut it short. Other captains said it wasn't a problem and I offered to prove this in writing. I know many people on each team, the captain's most importantly. Intramurals is designed for people to have fun and play. If everyone sees this as no problem then why would the Intramural people have a problem with this. Especially if it was an accident and since there was a loophole. I think it's clearly personal. Charles and I got in an argument last year about player eligibilty. i said it was dumb a player is completely kicked out of intrmaurals if they played on two teams. He was pissed, now look, they're changing the rules for next year! Decide for yourselves. I'm done with intramurals, these arguments have been really stressful. They clearly could have cut be a break, but it has to do with personal conflict. They forwarded me the email they sent, which they said showed that I had been notified our team was ineligible. The email was a general email to everyone saying thank you for registering, check the website for the league, and if anyone has not turned in their captain's test to make sure they turned it in. I thought I turned it in. They did not specifically tell any teams who didn't turn it in. I can send it to you if you'd like. Tudo Bem SC is done for 2006. If you want, talk to Min Lwin about getting an indoor team together. I'll let you guys know about playing indoor socer at Irwin, it's a grass field where you can where cleats. It starts after winter break. If you guys would ever like to get together in the future and maybe try to train a little. Soccer sucks down here. I think I'm not doing intramurals in 2006. Sir Alex Ferguson almost resigned once, everyone was certain he would, but he stayed. So I'm not sure, but as of now I definetly don't want to do this again. Everything is not Tudo Bem(all good). I had a lot of fun this year with you guys. It's been a tough semster for me, but I've look forward to our games and playing with you guys. I think I may add two more posts in a week: one talking about every player and another talking about the short history of the club. Have a good semester and good luck in soccer. And if you see Craig, Jesse, Charles, or Gary shake their hand, give them a big hug, a kiss on the head, and then walk away. When you're doing all that make sure you farted before you leave.
