Tudo Bem Exclusive: Captian Keane-ski's Critical Interview Leaked

Last week, Tudo Bem Soccer Club Blog was not able to post a controversial interview by TudoBem TV with captain Michael Roy Keane-ski. Although the actually tape has never been seen, a summary of Keane-ski’s words has been leaked to Tudo Bem Soccer Club Blog. Interestingly, a similar situation occurred with the captain of Manchester United in 2005. After Tudo Bem barely snuck past Townie All-Stars and the defeat in the friendly with Quad United, the captain seemed frustrated with the team’s performance. Since Tudo Bem Soccer Club is such a prestigious club, the talented squad members need to play up to their expectations. Simply the team is underperforming. The lack of Textiles in 2005 (ie the Coveted Intramural T-Shirt) and maybe even in 2006, happens because the team is not putting in their best efforts. With plenty of substitutes and games only 50 minutes long, the players need to exhaust themselves on the field. It was evident in the beginning of the Quad United scrimmage the team was not a unit. Players did not focus or take the game seriously. Keane-ski notes that you have to look at other teams. Illini Victory and World Wide Players, these are club teams; however, despite all their practicing and experience playing with each other they can’t get the results. Then there is Quad United. New faces continue to appear on the team, yet they are always a strong team. Keane-ski agreed with the relfections made after the friendly by the Quad United coach. Quad United also beat International Football Club, this past weekend. IFC, another established club, has the same problems as the other club teams. It’s a team of players with different agendas. Indeed, there are a few players who put their heart into the game. But as long as there are players that put their priorities before the team, they will never have the success they once had. Apparently, Keane-ski feels the team is at a hurdle. Despite, there are no numbers in the Loss Column, it could change in a second, and another disappointing season will conclude. Keane suggests that the team first needs to enjoy and embrace their situation. As Keane-ski well knows, you may not be with soccer forever. The pay off of focusing and working hard is outstanding. Of course, there needs to be selfishness by the opponent’s goal and in the attack. But the team needs to pass the ball around and communicate. There are times for quick counters that must take only a few passes, but the tempo of the game must be controlled by possession, which means moving the ball. Keane recognizes the team must stop always trying to dribble past opponents. Instead of always taking on players, try to give-and-go with a teammate. 2v1, 3v2, or 7v5 situations make the game, so the team must use each other for the advantage. The means are more important than the ends. Captain Keane-ski’s advice will be needed in the game against Illini Victory at 10:00pm at Six Pack Park on October 17th. The top of the table battle will surely be the game of the season. Illini Victory are a very offensive team and their players battle. Hopefully, Captain Keane-ski’s words don’t fall on deaf ears. Tudo Bem, Joga Bonita (Play Beautiful)!

The importance of this week game is evident. Winner will take the lead. Even though it may not be the end, winning is the only option for Tudo Bem. Every personal effort put in the game may richen our play, but the important thing is combining these efforts as a team. Playing in a harmony will bring us success. Victory will be ours...

See you all on the field...
